Weather: Continuing episodes of rain in the preceding week and no frosts.

Report: (Sue Rogerson) Seven intrepid forayers set off for another foray with not a lot of hope of finding many agaric fungi. Although after such a wet time there has not been much rain lately the ground was generally still damp but despite this the agarics were few and far between. Most in abundance were a troop of Hydnum repandum (Hedgehog Fungus). Elsewhere on the site Sara and I felt the understorey had so much cover that even in a 'better' season it would not be good for finding many fungi. I returned home with some resupinates but after lunch there were just 3 of us remaining. I thought it interesting that alongside the track where the nettles and other growth had been cut back it was damp but there were some interesting finds which can be seen on the list. The most noticeable find was Trechispora praefocata on some fallen larch and just a second record for Hampshire.
